As victims and survivors, we possess the expertise born of our struggle for justice, yet we still feel excluded from goal-setting, decision-making, implementation and evaluation of justice processes.

To address this, we have devised and published a set of practical guidelines to ensure meaningful victim participation in transitional justice responses to serious, widespread human rights abuses.

These guidelines, drafted by victim and survivor associations in Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Asia and Africa and approved for publication by the INOVAS board and network members, are intended for use by all individuals and organisations working in the transitional justice field.
